「册厝」cè cuò 的 “册” 源之古代竹简，书本的缘起；而“厝” 取之福建谐音"chu"家，BOOKU更是马来文与英文词汇的结合。通过这样的命名方式，意喻语言虽然是文学的表现形式，但是文学的内在价值却是跨语言的。
Booku is architects initiated, book space committed to the exchange of cultural knowledge within a multidisciplinary community. Booku is dedicated to promote literature whilst facilitating and showcasing architecture through exhibition, discourse and education.

冊厝 [空間] | Space
原本的建筑工作室一分为二，楼下改造成图书馆开放给大众。以文学为出发点，与其他创作平台进行跨艺术的交流，希冀提供一个艺文养分的实验空间。 「册厝」就是以这样的概念铸型于坊间。
Booku envision a new typology of spatial democracy, enabling private and public space to evolve and live co-existingly. In a city that is rapidly urbanised, architects, artists and designers must be open to challenge the boundary of ideas and space in order to be progressive and relevant.
[書] 與閱讀 | Books
「册厝」以独立自筹的姿态在2015年12月崭露头角，架子上的藏书种类不拘，多数是私人收藏，其余则来自有缘人赠送，期间也会自费填补新书。开放空间主要在于分享，希望好书之人能在书堆中找到自己的心头好。
The books collection on the shelves are mostly private collections, while the rest were given or donated by friends. From time to time, Booku will also expand their collection by purchasing some new books at own expenses. Opening up the book space to public are mainly to share the joy of reading, with the hope that books lover can find their treasure in here.
[人] 與活動 | People
以提昌阅读为前提，册厝将定期主题性地挑选一位作家，进行阅读会和主题展览。为了配合城市人们的步伐，册厝试验性的尝试跳脱传统读书会的形式，并以更多元化的模式进行分享及解析，其中更不乏穿插阅读后的再创作及户外阅读分享，以次期望参与者从中重新探讨阅读的可能性。
Booku will be regularly selects a writer/theme for reading session and eventually curate an exhibition. In order to cope with the pace of people in the city, Booku experimental attempt to escape from the traditional book club form, trying on a more diversified model of sharing; which including outdoor sharing, and eventually encouraging the possibility of re-creation after reading.
跨界 [合作] | Collaboration
册厝虽为阅读空间起家，但也将不定期的与其他群体合作举办讲座会，工作坊，艺术表演，电影赏析，艺术市场等活动，除了让同好者有机会共聚交流，也希望借此推广至民众，为原有的社群生态提供另一种可能性。
From time to time, Booku will be collaborate with other organization or individuals to organize lectures, workshops, art performances, film screening, art market and other activities. Beside providing a platform for ideas exchange, Booku hopes to generate new possibility between public and the existing community.
