ABOUT LPPL:

LITTLE PLANET PROJECT LAB

Also known as "Little Lab" is a design and research studio located in Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur. Just like a seed that grows a forest, we hope our little projects can bring a good impact to the ecosystem of our planet, one seed at a time.

Our research lab's main focuses are;

[Plant]ing- reconnecting people with their environment; [Place]making- designing on local community's assets to promote health, happiness, and well being; and finally, Re[search]- incorporating fieldwork and face-to-face dialogue with communities.

We believe even the smallest project inherits a meaningful purpose; be it a plant, a place or a book in their own subtlety. Therefore, we pour our research findings to later projects with the aim to create 'honest' design to unearth potential of each programme.

OUR TEAM

The team is made up of architectural designers with diverse of interests such as farming, art, ecology, literature and social politics. Our team is trained to lead a project independently and collaboratively in both research and design aspect.

The sharing of experience is also essential in our team in broadening possibilities. We are able to exercise it through collaborations on many levels; internally among our team; externally by establishing relationships with communities to form thoughtful dialogues; and also by working with other creatives to grow, learn and expand .

OUR AFFILIATES

Tetawowe Atelier has generously share their space and studio; but more than that, their vision for a sustainable practice. This vision is extended through project collaborations such as Booku Library and many others.
