COMMUNITY PLANTING
JALAN SEPAKAT 4
“Wherever there is sunlight there should be a plant.” “Planting” helps us to understand more about nature; “Sharing our plantation” enable us to know our community better.
We made our first move by starting to plant in a community (Jalan Sepakat 4), hoping that by planting we can have a deeper insight into the environment, and also to take this chance to encourage the bonding within the neighbourhood.

Community Planting
​
Our planting spot is located at Jalan Sepakat 4, we separated the land into four areas for different plantation; for the first stage, we planted ladies finger, sweet potato leaves and papaya trees; while during the second stage, we planted lettuce, amaranth and water spinach.
Growing Phase
​
We make use of the time before and after office hour to water, weed and take care of the plants. Throughout this process, we get to know the residents in the neighbourhood. They started to share with us about their planting experiences, and would water the plants with us and sometimes we would discuss about what is the better way to grow plant. The warmth that we felt through the interaction among the community and to see how a community project can unite the people together are something we never expect.
Sharing our harvest

The joy sharing and exchanging our harvest, had promote the interaction among the community.
“Mid-autumn Celebration”
​
This year during mid autumn festival, we invited the residents in the neighbourhood to celebrate this festival with us. Other than tea and mooncake, we also prepared some ladies finger seeds that is kept in small envelopes and distribute to them. We hope that more residents can join us to plant through this interactive event.
